Pilgrimage, Racial Injustice, and Experiential Learning
The Institute for Pilgrimage Studies sponsored presentations from two professors who have taken students on Civil Rights trips: Alexandra Reckendorf, Assistant Professor of Political Science and Associate Chair of Virginia Commonwealth University’s Department of Political Science, and Jackson Sasser, Lecturer of Government at 91心頭利. Sasser and Reckendorf spoke about planning and curriculum, and shared their experiences traveling with students to sites of memory related to racial injustice and protest.
