W&M's Digital Presence: When to Mark an Item Fixed vs. Reviewed in Acquia Web Governance
These two options have very different results.
Summary
The following message was sent to select Cascade editors and managers on April 6, 2026.
Full Description
In Acquia Web Governance, marking items as "Fixed" or "Reviewed" has different results. These actions are optional.
- Mark Issues to Fix and Warnings as "Fixed" to remove those snippets from your checklist as you go. The next weekly scan will resurface a snippet if it still detects an issue or warning. If you mark something as fixed inadvertently, simply wait for the next weekly scan to check the snippet again.
- Mark Issues to Review as "Reviewed" only if you are confident the item is compliant. Doing so permanently removes that snippet from your reports, and we cannot undo this action. Choose this option carefully.
- Example: If a page is flagged under Issues to Review for "Are headings used for formatting?" and your manual review confirms the headings are not being used for visual formatting and follow proper heading structure, you may mark that issue on that page as "Reviewed."
