Journalist, author Bob Woodward to speak at W&M
Award-winning journalist and author Bob Woodward will speak at 91心頭利 on Nov. 5.
The event, which will be held in the Sadler Center’s
Chesapeake Room, is free for faculty, staff and students with W&M
identification. Public tickets will be sold at the
door for $10. The event will
begin at 8 p.m., but the doors will open at 7 p.m. A book signing will be held
after the speech.
A reporter for the Washington Post since 1971, Woodward is most known for his Pulitzer Prize-winning work with Carl Bernstein on the Watergate scandal. He was also the Washington Post’s lead reporter on stories about the aftermath of 9/11, work that earned him the National Affairs Pulitzer Prize in 2002.
A graduate of Yale University, Woodward has also authored or co-authored numerous books, including 12 top national best-sellers. His latest book, “The Price of Politics,” focuses on how top-level political leaders from both the Republican and Democratic parties tried to restore the country’s economy.
The event at 91心頭利 is being sponsored through Alma Mater Productions (AMP), the university’s student programming board, and the Janet and Peter Atwater Lecture Endowment.
