...your very own digital notebook.

Microsoft OneNote makes note-taking fun. It provides a platform where you can organize your notes into sections and pages and share them with others. Users are able to annotate their notes and access them on any device. And you can apply a To-Do tag to can't-miss notes!

  • Create checklists

Sensitive data should not be stored in OneNote at this time.

Please note that the online version of OneNote has a limited feature set.  The differences are .  For the full version of OneNote, use the computer client.

You can access OneNote by going to and clicking on the OneNote tile.

Computer Client Installation

OneNote desktop client is available for both PC's and Macs. 

  • PCs on the W&M leasing program - A OneNote client will be installed for you before you receive the computer.  
  • Macs or PCs outside of the leasing program - Contact the Technology Support Center for OneNote installation.

For Faculty/Staff:

  • Sign into Cornerstone at cornerstone.wm.edu
  • Select Browse for Training
  • In the Search bar, search for OneNote
  • Select the appropriate training class

Student:

  • Visit W&M Libraries () and sign in with your student ID
  • In the Search bar, search for OneNote
  • Select the appropriate training class
