Biography

Abby FitzPatrick ’27 is an Integrative Conservation major and comes from Richmond, Virginia. Her appreciation for the natural world began in her mother’s garden and through childhood adventures in National Parks. She is deeply interested in exploring the complex connections between people and the environment, and her academic journey is guided by a desire to bridge science and community in support of more sustainable urban development.

After graduation, Abby hopes to pursue a career that strengthens relationships between people and the natural world, helping to build resilient and thriving communities that respect and sustain the Earth. Through the Conservation Research Program, she aims to develop the skills needed to advance conservation initiatives and contribute meaningfully to her local environment. On campus, Abby serves as an executive member of the IIC Student Leadership Council and the Workshop Creative Writing Club. She also teaches group fitness classes at the Rec and enjoys reading and sketching in her free time.
