Biography

Elijah Clark  ’28 has been drawn to the outdoors from a young age, whether through participating in his local Boy Scouts troop or hiking mountain trails across the country. He has enjoyed visiting and hiking in National Parks throughout his life and maintains a strong interest in mountain climbing whenever possible. Through his collaborative work with the Cumberland Valley Appalachian Trail Club, Elijah has seen firsthand how community-driven solutions can benefit both people and the environments they depend on.

Elijah hopes to pursue a career in environmental policy that supports vulnerable communities while protecting the ecosystems that sustain them. He believes addressing challenges such as climate change and biodiversity loss requires coordinated global action and thoughtful examination of the governmental structures that shape environmental outcomes. Through community engagement, active listening, and service, Elijah is committed to helping build more resilient and caring communities worldwide.
