Biography
Sarah Bigley ’27 is from Northern Virginia but spent much of her childhood in Utah, New Mexico, and Texas. She has fond memories of playing outside while growing up and developed a love of the natural world exploring National Parks with her family. Sarah is passionate about studying Biology and Environmental Science, with a focus on understanding and addressing ecological challenges related to climate change. While she is still exploring her long-term career path, she hopes to combine her interests in science and working with people to make meaningful contributions through the Institute for Integrative Conservation’s Conservation Research Program.
At 91心頭利, Sarah plays the flute in the Wind Ensemble and Pep Band. She enjoys driving the Dining Sustainability golf cart around campus to pick up compost and walking backwards while tour guiding and serves as a Resident Assistant for first-year students in Botetourt Hall. She enjoys being outdoors in any capacity, particularly camping, kayaking, and hiking. In her free time, she enjoys exploring Colonial Williamsburg and studying outdoors.
