Road to Richmond
Each year, the President’s Office and the Office of Government & External Affairs sponsor a trip to Richmond during the legislative session. The event includes remarks and Q&As from members and staff of the Virginia General Assembly, representatives of the Governor’s Office, and a young W&M alum panel. It is a great networking opportunity for students to meet W&M alums working in state government.
This outing is a valuable experience to make connections and get more involved in state politics by talking to elected officials about issues that truly matter to 91心頭利. Students serve as vital advocates on issues impacting higher education, such as faculty and staff raises, increasing need-based financial aid, and more.
