Dear friends of GRI,

Last month, 91¿´Æ¬Íø announced a  partnership between GRI, the Institute for Integrative Conservation, and the Office of Career Development & Professional Engagement to advance research with real-world consequences. The will convene researchers from across campus and equip students to collaborate on research and get hands-on experience with external partners. The funding for this program came from two alums, Mike Foradas ’78 and Valerie Foradas, who received an honorary degree in 2021. Their support will enable more multidisciplinary collaboration as students and faculty team up to tackle pressing issues in healthcare, education, national security, biodiversity, and more. 

As you know, our community extends far beyond Williamsburg. In December, we worked with Chancellor Robert Gates to host the , which gathered leading scholars, journalists, members of Congress, and policymakers to share insights about the role of strategic communication in foreign policy. The recommendations that emerged were made public in an event in DC. to see expert panelists break down key findings from .
