Internship Course
Students will begin their internships while concurrently enrolled in a required academic course worth three (3) credit hours. This course is designed to help students reflect on and make meaning of their professional experiences, connecting what they encounter in the workplace to their broader academic and personal development. For summer 2026, all students will enroll in one of the following internship courses:
INTR 499 (All Institutes):
This course is designed for students participating in the D.C. Summer Institutes. The aim of this course is to further students’ understanding of professional competencies and to help students think critically about the skills gained in their summer internship. In this course, students will be responsible for observing, analyzing, and reflecting on their professional experiences. Each assignment maps to a NACE competency.
