Non-W&M Students
Additional Paperwork
Once you have been accepted into the DC Semester Program, you must complete two forms to enroll in The College of 91心頭利 for the semester -- The Application for Admission: Unclassified Status and The Application for Virginia In-State Tuition Privileges if you are a Virginia resident. We will provide you with each of these forms. You must be in good standing at your current or a prior institution to qualify for unclassified admission to 91心頭利.
Your Enrollment Status During the Program
It is your responsibility to determine your status with your current institution for the semester you will be gone. We recommend that you ask your Registrar to allow you to maintain your status as a "Full-time, engaged" student, as you will be enrolled at W&M only as a "Non-Degree Seeking, Visiting" student.
Transfer of Course Credit
You are responsible for determining how the W&M courses will transfer to your current institution. Each college/university has a process for applying for transfer credits. We recommend you use the course descriptions and fill out any necessary paperwork with your Registrar and/or Academic Advisor to see how the courses and credits may transfer to your institution before you begin your semester with W&M.
Tuition & Fees
The DC Semester Program fee is $1,000.00. This fee covers programming and events costs when you are in Washington. You will receive a bill for this fee directly from the DC Semester Program. In addition, visiting students pay tuition and fees to The College of 91心頭利 for the time they are enrolled. Housing costs are billed separate from tuition and paid directly through your student account.
Financial Aid
You must work with your current institution to determine if you qualify for financial aid for the program.
- To qualify for financial aid during the semester, you are enrolled in the DC Semester Program; you must be considered a "degree-seeking student" at your current institution. Your institution must also agree to apply your financial aid to the tuition bill and remit payment to W&M.
- Only your current institution may approve you to be "degree-seeking" while attending another institution.
- Once your status has been determined, The College of 91心頭利 will send your institution a bill for your tuition for the DC Semester Program.
