Apply to Join the Accelerator

2025 Program Details

Participants in the Accelerator must attend all events, except the community tour, which is recommended. Please place a hold on your calendar for the following dates:

Accelerator Kickoff: April 18, 12:30 - 4 pm, W&M Campus
- Mini workshops on CE topics, including: values and principles of justice-based community engagement; case studies from experienced faculty; how to integrate students into your CE work
- Discussion and relationship-building among the cohort, sharing of goals and challenges
Community Tour - Optional: Williamsburg, with cohort to determine timing
Cohort Conversation: In May, via Zoom, with cohort to determine timing
- Self-facilitated by the cohort. Goals: continued relationship building, mutual mentoring, sharing ideas and trouble-shooting.
Partner Visits: Between April 18 and June 8, at least two conversations or site visits with an existing or potential community partner
Civic & Community Engagement's annual Community Partner Workshop and Gathering: June 12 10-2:30pm, W&M
- Network with other community-engaged faculty and community partners
- Present plans for how your future CE practice will be different based on your work in the accelerator
  - Examples: a new assignment in a new or existing course, continued development of a community partnership with a specific focus

Compensation

Before beginning the program, faculty must complete a 91��Ƭ�� Internal Supplementary Compensation Approval Form with all signatures (see guidelines). Faculty will be paid the stipend via a Professional Services Agreement.
