Other than the obvious (spending 2 years away from W&M) what are the differences between the standard W&M program and the St Andrews Joint Degree Programme?

Admission

  • Common Application with supplemental essay
  • If you get in to W&M Early Decision I or II, you will find that out sooner than April. But, you have to wait until April for the Joint Degree Programme decision
Annual Tuition (not including fees or living costs)

  • In-State: $19,178
  • Out-of-State: $44,876
  • All Students: $48,500
  • No In-State/Out-of-State tuition difference
Majors & Minors
  • Will choose from dozens of majors and minors at the end of the second year.
  • Can double-major
  • Must choose from 6 majors upon enrollment
  • Cannot double-major
  • Can minor at W&M
Academics
  • 72 Hour Rule: at least 72 W&M credits must be taken outside the major
  • COLL Curriculum
  • Credits earned through testing or non-W&M courses count towards the total for the undergraduate degree.
