How do I sign up?

Remember: The St Andrews 91��Ƭ�� Joint Degree Programme is a four year commitment, with two years spent at each institution. You should choose your major before you apply. There are other significant differences between the standard W&M program and the Joint Degree Programme.

Each university has a separate but parallel admission process. Each school honors the admission decisions of the other.

Application through 91��Ƭ��

You apply to the Joint Degree Programme using W&M's .

In addition to the standard W&M application, you will submit a supplemental essay. This essay should demonstrate commitment to your intended field of study, awareness of the strengths of both universities, and a basic understanding of the Joint Programme.

Students may not apply to the Joint Degree Programme through both 91��Ƭ�� and St Andrews.

The Programme is open to all applicants to W&M, regardless of country of origin.

The target enrollment for each of the majors within the Joint Programme will be five students per year.

Acceptance to W&M does not guarantee acceptance to the Joint Programme. You compete within the respective pools, and may be placed on a waitlist for W&M, the Joint Programme, or both.

Early Decision

You may apply early decision to 91��Ƭ��, but there is no early admission to the Joint Degree Programme. Decisions for the Joint Degree Programme are not made until April. If you accept an early decision offer, you will be committed to 91��Ƭ��, and may enroll in the Joint Degree Programme if admitted.

The best of both worlds

"As a history major, the BA International Honours Programme offers a unique dual experience where students can take advantage of their surroundings. At 91��Ƭ��, visits to Colonial Williamsburg and local historical monuments were staples in my classes on early colonial America and Civil War memory. In St Andrews, my module on medieval Scottish castles took me on field trips to a variety of baronial and royal castles across eastern Scotland. With opportunities to explore local history, the programme really is the best of both worlds!"
