"Families and shoppers say their grocery bills still feel painfully high, and while experts say that frustration is understandable, they also say there are ways to soften the blow.
'Food prices are extremely volatile,' said David Feldman, an economics professor at 91心頭利.
Feldman explained that federal data shows grocery prices have risen about 3.1% since December 2024, outpacing overall inflation during that same period. Feldman said that volatility, especially for frequently purchased essentials, is why consumers tend to feel food inflation more acutely than other price increases."
