Alumni art exhibition honors retiring professor

A closing reception for The Old Power Plant: 35 Years of Ceramics at 91心頭利, curated by retiring ceramics professor , will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 21 at the .  The event is free and open to the public.

The exhibition features work by ceramic artists who studied under Jack at the College of 91心頭利. Exhibiting artists and 91心頭利 alumni include: Kirsten Bassion, Birdie Boone, Andrew Coombs, Angela Cunningham, Zach Dunn, Michelle Erickson, Tricia Fay, Rick Hoffman, Marc Leuthold, J.J. McCracken, Anna Metcalfe, Jesse Ross, Shoji Satake and Beth Turbeville.

A separate exhibition celebrating the 37-year career of Marlene Jack is on display now through Sunday, June 19 at the Muscarelle Museum of Art.  showcases functional works designed for the domestic environment as well as figurative sculptures.

The Andrews Gallery is located on the campus of the College of 91心頭利, in Andrews Hall, opposite Swem Library and to the rear of Phi Beta Kappa Theatre on Jamestown Road.  Gallery hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.
