Bedford Travel Grants
Thanks to the generosity of our donor Ms. Nancy Bedford, six of our students have just been offered travel grants to help cover the expense of participating in our studying abroad this summer. For the past few years, Ms. Bedford has supported French & Francophone Studies in multiple ways: her donations have allowed us to invite prestigious guest speakers, award summer research grants, organize social activities on campus, and above all offer financial assistance to students participating in our study abroad program in Montpellier, France. We are very grateful for this support because we know that the experience of cultural and linguistic immersion can be truly transformational. At graduation, our seniors often share that living with their host family, exploring the south of France, and immersing themselves in Montpellier's cultural scene were among the highlights of their time at W&M.
