Student Awards
At the end of each academic year during the Department's graduation ceremony, the Chinese Program presents awards to students for their outstanding achievements in Chinese studies.
- The Outstanding Achievement Award in Chinese is awarded to a student who has shown overall excellence in Chinese studies. This includes language abilities, research potentials and overall knowledge about China and Chinese culture.
- The Finn Prize for Excellence in Chinese was established through the generous support of the parents of our former student Michael Finn. It is given to a student who is considered by the Chinese faculty to have made the greatest progress in the study of the Chinese language.
