Tyler Undergraduate Research Scholarships
The Harrison Ruffin Tyler Undergraduate Research Scholarships are intended for majors conducting historical research. There are two types of Tyler scholarships: a Minor Scholarship, typically $300-$500, to assist in research conducted in any given semester; and a Summer Scholarship, typically $1,000-$1,500, for research over the summer months, especially in preparation for an honors thesis. The deadlines for Minor Awards are October 15 and February 15; the deadline for the Summer Awards competition is April 1. For applications, see below.
