Bio

Jenny researches the circulation of printed objects in the early modern world, with a focus on the circulation of print between the German lands and early America. Her dissertation uses the Pennsylvania-based Saur printer family as a window into larger questions about the social and cultural meaning of print on both sides of the Atlantic during the long eighteenth century. Originally from Austin, Texas, Jennifer holds a B.A. in German from Sewanee: University of the South, and an M.A. in History from 91心頭利. Her research has been supported by the German Historical Institute, the Herzog August Bibliothek in Wolfenbüttel, Rare Book School, and the German Studies Association, among others.
