Bio

Holly N.S. White has a Ph.D. in American History from 91心頭利 (2017).  She is a legal, social, and cultural historian who specializes in the history of childhood and youth, age, gender, and family in Vast Early America and the early United States. She is author of Constructing American Childhood: Age-based Laws and the Illusion of Protection in the Early United States (University of Virginia Press, 2026) and the co-editor of

 

Currently, she serves as co-editor of the . This fall, as a 25-26 , she will begin work on two projects which examine the role of children in the American Revolution: a book length work and "The Children of the American Revolution Project" (CARP), a public history initiative for K-6 students.
