About Dr. Zahn
Dr. Zahn is a microbial ecologist who investigates how microbial communities form and why their distributions shift across environments. He pairs field surveys with experimental microcosms, metagenomic assays, and machine learning approaches to uncover the ecological and evolutionary rules that shape microbial diversity and assembly.
Dr. Zahn welcomes undergraduate and graduate students interested in fundamental and applied research into microbial communities.
