ACE (Applied Clinical Experience)
Program Overview
In collaboration with VCU Health, the ACE program provides a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on perspective in a medical setting. Each semester, 10 selected students receive 40+ hours of clinical shadowing experience at VCU’s Henry Street Clinic.
Course Requirements & Credit
The clinical experience is paired with a weekly discussion and reflection class taught by W&M Biology faculty.

Pre-Med Benefits: Participation provides nearly half of the 200+ clinical hours typically necessary for competitive medical school applications.

This closely mentored experience is designed to offer a dynamic clinical setting for students, specifically prioritizing those without prior clinical experience.
