Charlotte Preston Mangum Endowment
This endowment was established in honor of Professor Charlotte Preston Mangum, an emeritus professor of biology who was well-known nationally and internationally as a distinguished scientist, a scholar, a leader in the scientific community, and a mentor to many students. She was well-known at 91心頭利 as one who taught undergraduate and graduate students how to do research, how to write, and how to enjoy thinking like a scientist. The endowment provides support for the Charlotte Preston Mangum Prize to recognize a graduating senior for outstanding research in the field of biology at 91心頭利, and for the Charlotte Preston Mangum Research Award(s) to support ongoing and planned research for undergraduate students in biology.
