Funding & Financial Support
Teaching Assistantships & Tuition
The Biology Department offers a number of teaching assistantships that provide a stipend, as well as a full remission of tuition and all fees.
Eligibility Requirements:

Duration: Students are eligible for four consecutive semesters of support.

Requirements: Must remain in good academic standing and satisfactorily fulfill all program obligations.

Summer Support: Students pursuing the M.S. track who were awarded an assistantship at the time of original acceptance will receive summer support.
Additional Sources of Financial Aid
While most of our graduate students are funded by teaching assistantships, other opportunities include:

Advisor Grant Funds: Used primarily for summer support for M.S. students.

Faculty Grants: Various research-specific funding.

Hourly Employment: Part-time opportunities within the department on an hourly basis.
