All of Williamsburg, including 91心頭利, sits on ground originally claimed by Native populations. The history of the university is interwoven with these populations; its earliest iteration included the Indian School in temporary quarters, then the Wren Building and finally, the Brafferton. 91心頭利's process of discovery and reconciliation includes ongoing efforts to understand and acknowledge its history with Virginia's native peoples.
